What Happened? Cerebral Palsy Information
Video Provided by Our Cerebral Palsy Attorney, Ryan A. Krebs
In this video, Ryan Krebs, a cerebral palsy attorney with the law firm of Cappolino Dodd Krebs LLP, discusses what could have happened during the labor and delivery of your baby that led to the condition of cerebral palsy. This disorder can occur for a number of reasons, including premature birth or medical negligence. Cerebral palsy symptoms vary and usually occur right after birth. If you believe your child is suffering from cerebral palsy, it is important to speak with a qualified doctor.
Unfortunately, all too often, the physicians will tell you, “Well, your child has seizures, we need to treat your child with medications, we’ll see you back in a month to see how they’re doing.”
Or, they may say, “Your child needs some braces, we’ll send you to a therapist, some one who makes prosthetics or braces, and we’ll see if those fit.”
But they won’t ever address the question, “Was this preventable? Did this happen during labor and delivery? Was this something that could have been prevented with different or perhaps with proper clinical management?”
It’s there where you need outside help and we are prepared to do that.
