Graco Recall: More Than Five Million Strollers After Amputations Reported

Your child should not have to suffer serious personal injuries because of a defective product.

Unfortunately, Graco has recalled nearly five million baby strollers, over fingertip amputation hazards.

According to ABC News, the recall was announced by the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC), which reported that there were 11 reports of finger injuries “including six reports of fingertip amputations, four reports of partial-fingertip amputation and one finger laceration.”

The recall affects 11 stroller models made from August 2000 to September 2014, including about 4.7 million strollers in the U.S. The recall also extends to Canada and Mexico.

The recall includes strollers with model names Aspen, Breeze, Capri, Cirrus, Glider, Kite, LiteRider, Sierrea, Solara, Sterling and TravelMate.

Why Should I Speak to an Attorney If My Child Suffers an Injury From a Defective Product?

Amputations are serious personal injuries. Aside from the cost of treating the injury immediately after it happens, it is possible that a victim will have to go through physical therapy and rehabilitation. Your young child should not have to endure this because a company put its bottom line ahead of his or her safety.
